About
QPSJ is a Pittsburgh-based organization dedicated to providing a space for members of the queer community to artistically express themselves, develop their creative skills, and form vital support networks. We run the monthly Queerpunk Slamjunk open mics for ages 12-25, as well as other events.
All in-person events are suspended due to COVID-19. Please join our Discord server for online events!

If you'd like to share your work on our social media (via having us post a video on our Youtube or Instagram, or boosting your account via our Instagram stories, Twitter, or Tumblr), feel free to contact us through our email or social media DMs. Please also feel free to submit writing or art via the submit function on our Tumblr.
Community Guidelines
Don’t invalidate anyone else’s identity or experience.
Consent: sexual expression is allowed in our spaces, but if you make someone directly uncomfortable, stop what you’re doing. If there is a conflict over this, come to a moderator (Silas, Robyn, and Cal in IRL spaces, or someone with the "Server Moderator" role on Discord).
Keep verbal positive encouragement for when a performer is offstage. Cheering, clapping, and snapping are allowed and encouraged while the performer is onstage!
If you think something in your piece could be potentially triggering, please warn the audience before you begin your performance. It is not a judgement on your piece if someone needs to step away, it is simply for their own personal health and safety.
Please be aware of how self deprecation affects those around you (e.g. suicide jokes, jokes about being ugly, jokes about not passing, jokes about your performance/talent).
If you see any of these issues coming up, even if it is not happening to you directly, feel free to bring it to our attention (Silas, Cal, Robyn, or anyone with the "Server Moderator" role on Discord).
